My Dear Antioch Friends,
Grace and Peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus The Christ!
There is a song with a line in that goes something like this, "How can I say Thanks...?". Well it seems to me the easiest way is just to say it. So Thank you Antioch for all you do and for what you mean to our family.
We are in the beginning of our 5th year of ministry as partners with you. It has been an absolutely wonderful experience. I often tell my friends, "I believe I have already died and gone to Heaven." We are blessed everyday to be a part of this wonderfilled community of faith. We felt it appropriate this year year to send a Thanksgiving letter instead of a Christmas one because our hearts are filled with gladness and thanksgiving.
It is amazing what biscuits and gravy, a few friends and the Corner Café in Riverside can bring. You can encounter God in some of the strangest places. In the Church we say that God is everywhere...that even means at breakfast with a bunch of "crusty" older men. So from the Corner Café to Antioch we are here. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our ministry.
This year when we sit down to our Thanksgiving dinner (with our traditional little Pilgrim man and woman salt and pepper shaker) we will say our prayers. Prayers for our Grandson and Nephew serving in Iraq, for all our men and women in uniform, our countries leadership, for people who have floundered in our economy, for our family, for Antioch Community Church and especially for the gift of our Christ.
"How can we say thanks...?" Just say it...so THANKS ANTIOCH!!!
Blessings,
Harry and Donna
